Happy February!
This is one of my favorite months. My daughter and I both have a birthday in February so we are always celebrating. While she is turning 18 this year, in the past we have always had heart/pink themed birthday party decorations since they are on overflow in February. Every time this month rolls around again, I think of all the fun through the years. As she nears heading off to college in the fall, I will cherish all my Valentine decorations for years to come as I let her begin her journey to adulthood.
But before I get all teary.... (you can read more here on My Daughter's Senior Year of High School, A Mom's Courage), let's get to the heart of the matter! I have had so many messages about my Valentine decor as seen on my social media post.. so here you go!
Here are some of my favorite ways to decorate and spread a little love in February. You can repin any of the quotes or feel free to share on social. My pinterest link is down below and my social media buttons are at the top.
Don't forget to tag me - I love to see which are your favorites!
If you are new to the blog, I celebrated Christmas this year with a Merry and Bright Pink Theme. Click here for all the details... It has links to where I purchased my trees, ornaments, ribbon, and many other things you will see in this post.
I decided to pull my trees back out towards the end of January... I missed the cozy feel and the added dose of cheer. (And my family was begging!)
So if 2020 has taught us anything, it is that normal really is only a setting on the dryer. :)
So who cares if people think you are crazy, you do YOU!
Here's to February, Amy Style!
My Bright Pink Tree :)
Link here for where to get one of these beauties!
The large heart topper would look great with a sweet message or your family's name written on it. I added it last minute so maybe next year... :)
I love this view from my chair every day. Feel the love?
I used the white cross ornaments that I put on my tree at Christmas. (Purchased at Michaels) The cross represents the ultimate love to me, so I knew it would be perfect for my Valentine tree! I am sure as Easter nears, there will be plenty to grab at Michaels.
The large red hearts hanging on the tree came from Walmart - $1.98 each. And the smaller white and red hearts are heart sticks also from Walmart in their Valentine section - very inexpensive. You can also check the Dollar Store. Since these items are seasonal, most are not linkable from the Walmart website.
The white spiral decorations and the plaid spiral decorations on the tree came from Walmart at Christmas as well.
Used my A letter ornaments from our Christmas tree (also Walmart) and the clear onrmanets were leftover from a craft (from Michaels). Again more detailed links here: Merry and Bright Pink Christmas.
And then these bows... I LOVE them. They sparkle so pretty with the lights.
The white bows are from Walmart. They are with the gift bags and bows and are out usually year-round. You can also find them at Hallmark but a bit more expensive. You only need a few but they add the perfect touch. They have a shimmery texture.
And who needs gifts under the tree when you have little dogs?
Can't help but smile. :)
Add a simple touch to the mantle with an inexpensive Amazon garland.
It comes in a set with another garland that says: Be mine - you will see it pictured later in the foyer pictures.
Next up is the Foyer Tree.
I also used this at Christmas but without the hearts. All other ribbon and ornaments are from my Christmas supply of goods. Red felt hearts can be found on amazon. Super cheap.
The large Red Heart on the side of the mirror is from Oriental Trading. Another great inexpensive place for seasonal supplies.
Outdoor Pink Ideas
I have a flamingo theme on my porch. I change out my flag and run with the flamingo theme for each season. Amazon has tons of flamingo flags for almost every occasion and the flamingo ribbon seen on the wreaths is also from amazon.
Wreaths are a Home Goods find, that I spray painted at Christmas. Full details on paint color here.
Here's the link to the flamingo flag and the pink pillow covers. The black and white pillows are old and came from Carolina Pottery years ago.
I use this flag at my mailbox to match the vibe.
Wreaths from Home Goods and painted with spray paint.
The heart below the wreath is from dollar store years ago...
Hope you have a Happy February!
Remember to create your own sunshine on the rough days and a Christmas tree makes every room a bit happier. :)
Keep spreading love!
